You can display the number of characters on the current or any other page:

: The FrontPage contains [[insert][type=charactercount][page=FrontPage]] characters.

This is an extension to the CdmlInsert command, written:

<n>[[insert][type=charactercount][page=FrontPage]]</n>
Note: special characters (like punctuations characters, parenthesis or white space are not counted).
