RobotIdentification is important to improve the interpretation of statistical data (ActionStat). Currently it is done manually by Supervisors and Admins when they see certain request patterns that are characteristic for robots.
When an IP is identified as being a robot, it is identified by an Option like
* stat.type.64.68.80.25=robot # googlebot
or
* stat.type.64.68.80=robot
Often a whole series of IP numbers is used for robots. One can give a reduced IP address, only three of the four address bytes, to identify 256 addresses as belonging to robots.
